Over One Thousand Patients Receive Free Treatment at MedWorks

OVER ONE THOUSAND PATIENTS RECEIVE FREE TREATMENT AT MEDWORKS

Zac Ponsky, one of Coldwell Banker Hunter Realty's Board of Directors and an officer of AmTrust Bank, saw the results of a year of planning and organizing "MedWorks" become an answer for over a thousand Ohioans who were without medical insurance last weekend.  The W.O. Walker Center and the Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio's University Circle became medical facilities where hundreds of volunteers, both medical personnel and others who cared, including some of the best doctors in the country, provided free medical help for those in need.  In addition, "MedWorks" will try to help patients get follow up care where necessary.  As an unexpected benefit, many of the patients offered to volunteer at the next event.

Zac Ponsky's perseverance in promoting this event in spite of set backs was impressive; Zac's "RAM Ohio" would have been held in May at the Berea Fair Grounds but had to be cancelled just days before the event was scheduled due to the swine flu breakout.  Zac managed to balance work and family and still had time to create "MedWorks" and organize this exceptional opportunity for the people in greater Cleveland.  We feel Zac Ponsky is one of those rare individuals that knows how to give back to his community and today is certainly a hero to a great many people from northeast Ohio who needed health care.
