North Ridgeville History
North Ridgeville was initially known as the Ridgeville Township. The township was first occupied by settlers from Waterbury, Connecticut, in May, 1810. The first permanent Town Hall was built around 1850. The area was incorporated in the year 1958 and the name was changed to North Ridgeville. In August 1960, North Ridgeville was reincorporated as a city.
