Norton Real Estate Listings and Information

Norton

City of Norton

Norton was first established as a township in the early 1800s and is known for the city where the Tuscarawas River begins. Rich in early American history, Norton began as a saw mill town. In fact, the history of the early settlers is still evident in parts of modern day Norton where several buildings, such as the Loyal Oak Country Store, erected in the early 1800s, still stand.

Modern day Norton has a population of 12,000 residents and borders Copley, Akron, Barberton, and the Medina County Line. The city proves to be a wonderful place to call home, due to its close proximity to interstates, hospitals, great schools, airports, and plenty of recreational opportunities.

Norton is also a great place to raise a family, with its small-town feel just outside a big city. The city is proud of its 7 parks, public pavilions, gazebo, sports fields, and playgrounds. Not only is Norton full of history, but it is rich in tradition with its Apple Cider Fest every September.

With easy access to Cleveland, Akron, and Canton, the City of Norton is a prime location for a working individual, a growing family, or the young at heart.
