Brady Lake Real Estate Listings and Information
Brady Lake is a village in Portage County. The population was 464 at the 2010 census. Incorporated in 1927, it originally developed as an amusement park and summer resort that opened in 1891. The village is named after the lake it borders, Brady Lake, which in turn was named for Captain Samuel Brady.
Located in west-central Portage County, Brady Lake only physically borders Franklin Twp, which completely surrounds the village. There are, however, several other nearby Municipalities and townships including:
- Kent to the west
- Ravenna Township to the east
- Ravenna to the east
- Brimfield Township to the south
- Streetsboro to the north
Ohio State Route 59 skirts the southern edge of Brady Lake for a short distance just east of the Kent city limits. It, along with Brady Lake Road along the north side of the village, are the main roads connecting Brady Lake with Kent and Ravenna. For public transportation, it is served by the Portage Area Regional Transportation Authority (PARTA).
